C.V.R.I.C Moves to Institute Website

The Central Victorian Regional Insect Collection website has now been incorporated with the NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ENTOMOLOGY web portal.
All information regarding the C.V.R.I.C Collections and their historic significance can be found at the National Institute of Entomology webpage under the COLLECTIONS tab.

The new NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ENTOMOLOGY WEBSITE also includes the COURSES, C.V.R.I.C FORUMS, GALLERY and NEWS pages that were on the old C.V.R.I.C site for your convenience.

More and More Exhibitors Flock to Expo

Its only May and already 44 National as well as International Exhibitors have locked in their places for this years 2024 National Entomology Insect Expo, Australias largest Insect based event. The diversity of some of this years exhibitors products and services is already shaping up to an amazing level as many new exhibitors make their presence known in 2024. At the current rate, the 2024 National Entomology Insect Expo will easily reach its exhibitor capacity limit.

Planning for the 2024 National Insect Expo is well and truely underway as several of our amazing volunteers begin Floor Design work, Visitor Guide Brochure designs for visitors to download at the event and many other tasks that need attending to in order to make this years event flow smoothly.

We have secured our caterers for this year and they will be supplying great quality fresh treats for all our visitors during the 3 day event. October 4, 5 and 6 will be upon us before we know it, so we need plenty of time to get things in order. New Expo 2024 Information is updated on a daily basis so feel free to take a peek.

New Course Dates Announced

Due to increased demand by students wanting to enrol in this popular course, another Introduction to Entomology Course (C.V.R.I.C 10M) date has now been set for July 30th 2024. There will be two classes running each week during the course. One on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 and Wednesday night at the same time. The 2 Classes / Groups will hopefully cater for student numbers even though it puts the pressure on our lecturers!!

Introduction to Entomology Course Dates

Due to student demand, there will be two weekly course classes for the final Introduction to Entomology Course commencing on April 30th 2024.
Here are the finalised dates: April 30th - May 1st / May 7th - 8th / May14 - 15 / May 28 - 29.

Course Date Change

The Introduction to Entomology Couse which was due to commence on March 27th has been postponed due to a planned outtage and upgrade to our NBN Fibre Service. The course will now start in Mid April.

27 Exhibitors and Counting

After only 2 weeks of opening up Exhibitor Registrations for the 2024 National Insect Expo in October, already 27 Exhibitors have registered their expo positions. Remember that there is a limited amount of floor space available so dont delay in registering as soon as possible in order to avoid missing out for this year. Expo Exhibitor Registrations Building Up

Greetings to all National Insect Expo Exhibitors and a warm welcome to our new 2024 exhibition partners. Now that Exhibitor Registrations have opened, we already have 20 exhibit places locked in and confirmed after only a few days. Even though the 4th, 5th and 6th of October is still 213 days away, the event will be upon us faster than you might think, so we are urging you all to get your places locked in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment..

There will be many new exhibitors that we will need to cater for this year and Floor Space is limited. We will be targeting the Metropolitan Market a lot more this year so we will be aiming for visitation numbers over 7000 plus for this years event. Although we had hoped to be moving to a much larger venue this year in the form of the Gisborne Regional Sports Complex, this exciting venue was not available for inspection in time for us to lock in a venue for this year. The Woodend Buffalo Sports Stadium has been fully booked as a result. You may all keep monitoring the Exhibitors List which keeps getting updated daily here: https://cvric.com.au/expo-2023
